Help me buy my first car

My Story

Hi, my name is Thomas Miller Jr, I'm 17 years old and I live in Detroit, Michigan. I'm a senior in high school and plan to major in Business when I go to college. I live here in Detroit with mother Ann and my younger sister Brittany. My mother is single parent and doesn't make a lot of money, but even still she has always provided me and my sister with the things we need. She instills in us values. She teaches us how to be strong and work to get what we want. For the past three years I did just that. I worked 1 part-time job during the school years and 3 jobs during summer vacations to buy myself a car. After giving my mother some of the money out of my checks and paying for other monthly expenses I had saved around 8,000. Just enough to buy me a car and cover the insurance for the first couple months. So I finished Driver's Training and took my road to get my license. But shortly after I found out that my mother was trying to get a loan to fix up our house and to pay off some debts and was going to use her house as collateral, but first she needed to pay off the mortgage. She told me that if she had 7,500 dollars by next week she could pay off the mortgage and apply for the loan. So of course I had to give her the money. We're a family. She told me that when the loan came through she would buy me car and I wouldn't have to worry about anything. Well the loan didn't come through, the bank said my mother didn't make enough money. They said needed to a least make $20,000 a year, which she doesn't. So now I stuck. I'm not mad at my mother. Just a little upset that I worked so hard but didn't reach my goal. I still working but now I'm focused on finding money for college. My car will have to wait for now unless I can receive your help. I'm trying to raise $3,000.

All I'm asking, is for you to send me $1 to help me buy a car. But I'm not just asking you to give money and get nothing in return. When  I recieve your you will be sent a thank you note and a poem written by by my younger sister.  If your it's on your heart to give more please do so, but any amount of money would be greatly appreciated.
